Buddy Bears go Social

Many people know the Buddy Bears. But especially the younger ones usually know little about the background of the colorful Berlin bears. The message of tolerance and international understanding behind the art project. We would like to change that! In order to carry this message of the Buddy Bears also into the digital world, we have expanded our channels in social media. Especially on our Instagram channel, but also on Facebook and LinkedIn we are present.

To do this, we have developed new formats for people to learn more about the Buddy Bears through our channels. We want to make content about art and tolerance and at the same time inform about our current exhibitions. Engage with you, the community digitally.

In our bear riddles you can guess which of the United Buddy Bears stads for which country, at the same time you can learn about the artist's interpretation. In our bear infos we explain every week things like the origin of Buddy Bear Berlin, the concept of the United Buddy Bears or current info.

We have launched the video interview series "What does tolerance mean to you?". In line with the message of our Buddy Bears, we met our artists and visitors of our exhibition. We wanted to know "What does tolerance mean to you?" "Is Berlin a tolerant city for you?" Visitors also told us in the video interview how they like our exhibitions.

Check out our feature on how street artist Damian Yves Rhode interprets the term tolerance and how he implemented it on the Buddy Bears at Wittenbergplatz.

Join us to meet longtime Buddy Bear artist Ute Faber and hear her thoughts on the role of Buddy Bears in Berlin's cityscape.

Be inspired by singer Mariama, who wrote the song "Oh Please" for Buddy Bear. She formulates in the interview how society could find more to each other again.

Also, you can send us your snapshots with the Buddy Bears via Instagram direct message, and we'll turn them into little community collages. We're eager to hear your ideas, feedback and new suggestions, which you're welcome to send us via our digital channels.
