Interpretation
Wherever Swedes come together to celebrate Midsummer or to eat crayfish in August they sing the songs of Evert Taube, the most beloved Swedish poet of our time!
One of the songs is about Rönnerdahl who wakes up early one summer morning and goes out in the meadows where so many flowers already are blooming. He puts the flowers in his hair and waltzes around in his night-shirt. You can see "his hairy legs whirling under the white shirt" and he dances into the house and wakes up his wife and kids with songs and guitarmusic.
So I thought it was a good idea to let Rönnerdahl waltz around the world - just like the poet did himself as a young sailor in 1908-1910.
