Taysols becomes BRONZE sponsor of United Buddy Bears

Taysols today lent its support to the United Buddy Bears exhibition in Sydney by becoming Bronze sponsor of this unique event promoting tolerance and understanding between different nations and cultures.

For 6 weeks in March and April 2006, 124 Buddy Bears holding hands will be placed at the Overseas Passenger Terminal and Circular Quay in Sydney. Each of the Buddy Bears represents one member state of the United Nations, making the bears a symbol of the desire for peace, freedom, and international understanding. Each Buddy Bear has been designed individually by an artist on behalf of his or her native country. The international artists' different styles are joined together in a very cheerful way as one work of art, spreading zest for life.

Since the start of the Buddy Bear project in 2003, the bears have toured around the world with stops in Berlin, Kitzbühel, Hong Kong, Istanbul, Tokyo and Seoul attracting millions of visitors and raising in excess of 1 million Euros in funds for UNICEF and local child relief organisations.

"Taysols is very proud to support this event which promotes tolerance and raises money for children in need. I am sure that the Australian public will join us in embracing this exhibition and supporting its noble cause." Mark Taylor, Director of Taysols said.

All funds raised from the Australian tour will be donated to UNICEF Australia.
