Come and see the United Buddy Bears Exhibition at Circular Quay from 8 March to 5 April.

Each bear represents a country and is decorated by selected local artists with symbols and imagery representative of a country. The bears will stand together hand in hand promoting peaceful co-existence, tolerance and international understanding amongst nations and to raise money for children in need.

The exhibition is free and the proceeds from Buddy Bear merchandise are donated to UNICEF. A wide range of merchandise and further information on the exhibition and UNICEF’s work is available from the Sydney Visitor Centre (cnr Argyle & Playfair Streets, The Rocks).

The Sydney Visitor Centre will also be home to a two metre bear that will be decorated by the public. Everyone is welcome to come along and make a donation to be a part of the fun.

Ken Done has been selected by the organisers to paint the Australian Buddy Bear. In support of UNICEF, a fellow Rocks business Löwenbräu Keller will purchase a Bear to display at its premises while the exhibition is in the precinct.

At the conclusion of the tour, the Bears will be auctioned to raise funds for children’s charities.

The Buddy Bear exhibition will be on display along the Circular Quay promenade, between the Overseas Passenger Terminal forecourt and First Fleet Park.
