The United Buddy Bears in Santiago de Chile
29th Exhibition
Santiago de Chile welcomed the 2m tall bears of the United Buddy Bears exhibition – which are presented in the Parque Bicentenario from 23rd April until 19th June 2015. Because the German Embassy in Santiago de Chile took the initiative, the United Buddy Bears were able to add an exhibition in Santiago de Chile to their global tour. The exhibition receives additional support by the Chilean municipality of Vitacura and the Galería Artium. The official exhibition opening is scheduled for 23rd April 2015.
Edgardo Riveros, Statesecretary for Foreign Affairs in Chile and the German Ambassador of Chile, Hans-Henning Blomeyer-Bartenstein, held impressive opening speeches.
The Opening of the Exhibition
Greetings from the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Chile
Heraldo Muñoz Valenzuela
...I congratulate all the artists who have contributed with their talent to make the "United Buddy Bears" a significant cultural and benevolent event of international standing during its 14-year tour.
In particular, I would like to congratulate the organizers and promoters of this noble initiative, which not only unfolds artistic beauty in every city it visits, but also invites us to get to know each other better and build trust with a view to creating more just and happy societies.
