Interpretation

My work on the painting was supported by Mrs. Daphrose Ndakoze, who is keen to contribute towards improving Rwanda's image in addition to representing her beloved country on an international level.

The aim of this work is to present the world of the Country of a Thousand Mountains, Rwanda. The tree symbolizes the three Rwandan tribes. The heart made of leaves on the tree is to illustrate that "together, with love, the people of Rwanda may manage to peacefully build a great nation."

The other works on the bear show the nature, culture and agriculture of Rwanda. These are what the loving and warm-hearted people of Rwanda welcome you with.
