Since their wedding in 2004 the artists Murat and Cansu Ökmen work on several exhibitions in Berlin.

Interpretation

Our bear symbolises the beauty and diversity of our country. The different combinations of colours, motifs and ornaments reveal the long and rich history of Turkey. With the bear’s oriental look, we want to enchant the viewers and provide an incentive to immerse themselves ever more in the bear’s imagery. With our marriage in 2005, we created a union of our love and our artistic knowledge. The bear is a manifestation of both – and our love of art.
