Days before the opening of 'Germany and India 2011-2012: Infinite Opportunities', German Ambassador to India Thomas Matussek unveiled a special icon in front of the German Embassy in the capital. A two-metre high sculpture, the Delhi Buddy Bear is a symbol of cultural exchange and will welcome all visitors to the Embassy. Designed by Annie Kumari, a student at the Delhi College of Art, the Buddy Bear has been painted with attractive Indian motifs. At the event, Ambassador Matussek said, "The unveiling of this Buddy Bear comes just before the inauguration of the 'Germany and India 2011-2012- Infinite Opportunities' on September 23rd with a concert in Nehru Park at 1830 hrs."
