Our responsibility for people and the environment

Since its foundation over 20 years ago, Buddy Bär Berlin GmbH and its United Buddy Bears exhibitions have been committed to promoting peaceful coexistence between people of different origins, cultures and religions. From the very beginning, we have supported charitable children's aid organisations in Berlin and around the world with various activities and appeals for donations.

We are aware of our responsibility towards human rights and sustainability in our business activities, within the company and along the entire supply chain (LkSG). We are committed to the following principles:   

1. respect for human rights: We respect and protect the human rights of all individuals, regardless of their origin, religion, culture, gender, ethnicity or nationality. Discrimination and exploitation have no place in our company.
2. sustainable management: We are committed to environmentally sound and sustainable business practices.We are committed to protecting the environment and strive to continuously reduce our environmental impact.
3. Social responsibility: We promote social responsibility within our organisation and support initiatives to improve living conditions in the communities in which we operate.
4. integrity: We act with integrity in all our business processes. Our goal is to build and maintain trust and credibility.
5. ethical supply chain: We are committed to ensuring that our suppliers and business partners adhere to the same high standards in terms of human rights and sustainability.
6. education and awareness: We are committed to training our employees and raising awareness of human rights and sustainability issues to ensure that these principles are firmly embedded and practised in our corporate culture.

This declaration of principles forms the basis for our business activities.

We endeavour to continuously work on the implementation of these principles and to make a positive contribution to the promotion of human rights and sustainable development in our industry. The above 6 points are reviewed and discussed internally every year.
