The exhibition features 145 two-metre-tall bear sculptures, each created by an artist to reflect the people and culture of a different country. The bears do not represent political systems – they stand hand in hand for openness, dialogue and peaceful coexistence across borders.
The exhibition marks the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Singapore and Germany and was officially opened by
Dinesh Vasu Dash (Minister for Culture, Community and Youth of Singapore), Bettina Fanghänel (German Ambassador to Singapore), Felix Loh (CEO of Gardens by the Bay), and Klaus Herlitz (Founder of Buddy Bear Berlin).
Thousands of visitors have already explored this international circle of peace and creativity. Admission is free.
