Buddy Bear at ISTAF: Art meets top athletics

On 14 February 2025, the ISTAF INDOOR took place in Berlin's Uber Arena, the world's largest indoor athletics meeting with over 12,000 enthusiastic spectators. The event offered an impressive range of top sporting performances and exciting competitions.

A particular highlight was the pole vault competition, in which Swedish world record holder Armand Duplantis shone with a new meeting record of 6.22 metres. In the women's shot put, the German Olympic champion Yemisi Ogunleye dominated with an outstanding distance of 19.42 metres.

Buddy Bear Berlin has been a partner of the ISTAF for years. Together they have created an exclusive Buddy Bear design that reflects the dynamics of athletics. Every year, the winners receive a special Buddy Bear trophy - a combination of sport, art and Berlin culture.

The award ceremony with the Buddy Bears is an integral part of the ISTAF INDOOR and demonstrates the close partnership between the two organisations. Buddy Bear Berlin will continue to honour the athletes with this special trophy in the future.
