United Buddy Bears are on a world tour with the support and logistics expertise from Schenker (Sydney, 10/03/2006)
From the 8th of March until Wednesday 5th April 2006 more than 120, two meter tall "United Buddy Bears" are on display at Circular Quay, promoting the idea of peaceful co-existence, tolerance and international understanding.

In addition all funds raised from the Australian sector of the UBB tour, will be donated to UNICEF Australia. The United Buddy Bears concept was dreamt up in Berlin, Germany in 2001 by husband and wife team, Eva and Dr. Klaus Herlitz. Right from the start in Berlin in 2003, Schenker has been supplying logistics know-how for the friendly bears to ensure their safe journey around the world. This way the Buddy Bears have already seen Berlin, Kitzbuehl (Austria), Istanbul, Hongkong and Seoul.
For the recent trip from South Korea to Sydney, Schenker and Hamburg Süd teamed up to deliver the unique Buddy Bears to Sydney's Circular Quay. Already a major attraction since the exhibition started at the 8th of March it is expected to attract thousands more visitors till the 5th of April 06.
