Human Rights Buddy Bear
The bear’s front shows an artistic representation of the inscription “Human Rights“ in seven languages, coupled with the corresponding logo - a creation of the Fünfwerken Design AG.
The back of the Buddy Bear refers to Article 1 of the United Nation’s Universal Declaration of Human Rights:
“All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood.”
The idea is to raise public awareness of human rights through the Human Rights logo. Supporters of the global campaign include the Nobel Peace Prize Laureates Aung San Suu Kyi, Shirin Ebadi, Mikhail Gorbachev and Muhammad Yunus as well as the concept artist Ai Weiwei and many more.
