World Tour of the United Buddy Bears

The global tour of the UNITED BUDDY BEARS promoting a peaceful coexistence is already in its seventh year travelling around the world. During their previous 19 exhibitions they visited all of the five continents. Following exhibitions of the unifying international project in metropolises like Hong Kong, Istanbul, Tokyo, Seoul, Sydney, Vienna, Cairo, Jerusalem, Warsaw and even Pyongyang, the United Buddy Bears visited the American continent for the first time in 2009.  In March / April 2009 140 bears had visited Buenos Aires, Argentina.After Buenos Aires they continiued their journey to Montevideo, Uruguay. In May and June they stood "hand in hand" on the Plaza Independencia and promote tolerance and international understanding.
After the indoor exhibition in Berlin, which ended at the 14th April 2010, the world tour is now going to be continued. In the course of a special event “Germany in Kazakhstan 2010” the bears are exhibited for 2,5 month in Astana. The next exhibition is planned for Helsinki – to be presented on Senaatintori (Senate Square) at the bottom of Helsinki Cathedral.
