10th December 2011: Benefit concert for foster children in Berlin
Every year, the foundation Stiftung zur Förderung von Pflegekindern organises a Christmas benefit concert. The concert choir is “Fosterfamily & Friends“, a project initiated by the foundation to provide an innovative performance platform for foster children and their friends.
This year, the concert is under the motto GOSPEL MEETS CLASSIC and the organisers are looking forward to welcoming a large enthusiastic audience:

Since the end of November 2011, the Buddy Bär Berlin GmbH has been supporting the foundation Stiftung zur Förderung von Pflegekindern.
Since the foundation was established in 2009, the foundation’s team of six with its President Petra Schrödel has worked on providing an increasing number of children with the opportunity to grow up in a foster family. The children’s birth parents cannot look after them in a way that is suitable for a child because they have to deal with family crises or other hardships.
Day by day, the foundation faces an enormous task. In Berlin alone, 500 foster families are needed every year.
It is the vision of the foundation members to create a platform within our society that is for children who happen to have become foster children.
