Little bears – a great symbol of tolerance
Gladbeck welcomes the United Buddy Bears - The Minis at the Martin Luther Forum Ruhr
From 7th until 28th April 2013, the United Buddy Bears – The Minis“ will be guests at the Martin Luther Forum Ruhr. The year of tolerance is celebrated with the mini bears as ambassadors.
The Martin Luther Forum Ruhr is planning to set up the bears a very special way. In order to maintain the circle of the exhibition in the best possible way, the bears will be shown inside AND outside for the first time. Thus, the visitors can experience the symbolism of the exhibition – living side by side and with each other in a tolerant way. And experience is indeed the motto, since the United Buddy Bears – The Minis are tangible art. Children in particular enjoy the colourful bears and can admire, stroke and touch them.
A diverse programme accompany the exhibition and an increasing amount of people would like to sponsor a little bear of their choice. Frank W. Steinmeier has accepted the patronage of this exhibition and appeals with great commitment to sponsor a bear. In his message of greeting, he sends this heartfelt appeal to everybody: “´Please sponsor a bear“! With your sponsorship, you support an emergency relief programme for children in Haiti, since the entire proceeds are in aid of the Haitian children in need.
