United Buddy Bears - The Minis in Bratislava
The exhibition ‘United Buddy Bears - The Minis‘ visited Bratislava from 1st July to 13th August 2012 and was presented at the Polus City Center.
The exhibition introduced 109 bears representing as many countries as ‘Bears without Frontiers‘ in the context of the Slovak participation in this year’s Paralympic Games. Under the patronage of the Paralympic athletes Veronika Vadovičova and Peter Mihalik, visitors could take part in numerous activities relating to the Buddy Bears – with the goal to generate funds for the young Slovak participants in the Paralympics.
On 1st July 2012, the exhibition was jointly launched by the Mayor of Bratislava, Milan Ftacnik, the President of the Slovak Paralympic Committee, Jan Riapoš and the project initiator, Klaus Herlitz.
Thanks to the support by sponsors, Jan Riapoš received the first cheque in the amount of EUR 4,000 at the opening event.
