A Very Happy 2012 - Happy Birthday, United Buddy Bears

With the turn of the year, we can look forward to a special birthday. Ten years ago, we created the foundations for the globally unique United Buddy Bears exhibition. In the summer of 2002, the first circle of 125 bears was presented next to the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin.

This marked the beginning of the international project. To this day, the project continues to link its message of tolerance, peace and international understanding with aid for children in need on a global scale. So far, 22 exhibitions with well over 25 million visitors have generated around EUR 1.8 million for the benefit of children’s aid organisations.
