Successful fundraising campaign at Lake Schlachtensee

The Buddy Bear designed by Fritz Des Roches to represent Haiti accompanied a fundraising campaign for the earthquake victims at Lake Schlachtensee on 24^th January 2010. Active and immediate help for people in need is of fundamental concern to the initiators of the United Buddy Bears, Eva and Klaus Herlitz. Together with the German Red Cross, the campaign was organised to take place last Sunday. Larger donations - among others by Reiner Krüger - and the fantastic committed voluntary helpers of the German Red Cross made it possible to raise a total amount of €2121.31 in spite of the bitter cold. We would like to thank everybody for their donations!
