Launch of the UBB exhibition in New Delhi
On 27th March 2012, Sheila Dikshit (Chief Minister of Delhi), Klaus Wowereit (Governing Mayor of Berlin) and Eva and Klaus Herlitz (Initiators of the United Buddy Bears) launched the exhibition in the city’s
Central Park at Connaught Place, right in the heart of New Delhi.
Other guests from Berlin: Dr. Eric Schweitzer (President of the Berlin Chamber of Industry and Commerce IHK), Burkhard Kieker (Managing Director of visitBerlin) and Melanie Bähr (Managing Director of Berlin Partner).
The event was the highlight during 15 months of celebrations marking 60 years of diplomatic relations between Germany and India – and the start of the Berlin Days in India.
For the last 10 years, the United Buddy Bears have spread their message of living together in peace and harmony all over the world, at the same time promoting their hometown Berlin.
