Project House LABUDE for YOUNG PEOPLE AND FAMILIES

"LABUDE" is a project house in Oberschöneweide (Berlin), aimed at children, young people and families and based on a cross-generational concept.

With a lot of people’s own initiative, an old brewery was converted into a location where children and young people can play and learn. The committed work of mainly voluntary helpers created a centre where children and young people are looked after and where they can practise meaningful activities such as conquering the climbing wall, joining a theatre class or a soccer team, developing photos in the in-house photo laboratory or taking part in a computer course.

LABUDE does not limit its dedicated work to children and young people. It actively integrates entire families. At parties, evening events with films or talks, exhibitions in the in-house café and during informative excursions organised by LABUDE, the entire family can get away from everyday life – often difficult and stressful in this socially disadvantaged district - for a little while.
